Efficient solutions for highland climate
The Kazdağı mountains and the surrounding village and highland settlements are a world apart from the bay's coastal climate; as the altitude rises, winters turn harsh, temperature swings grow large, and snow and heavy precipitation are common. The buildings here are mostly village and mountain houses with stone foundations and wooden detailing; though built with traditional materials, most lack modern thermal insulation. The most critical work is therefore insulation suited to low temperatures: treating roof, wall and floor together prevents heat from escaping in winter and keeps fuel costs from climbing. Woodwork and stone-wall repair are made long-lasting with the right impregnation and protection, in keeping with the region's character. Heating solutions such as a gas conversion, where a stove or infrastructure exists, are another dimension; because this depends on infrastructure, we assess the alternatives together. In a highland location, weather and access directly affect the work schedule, and we plan for that from the start. With more than thirty years on site, we see every house in person and read how the mountain climate strains it. The survey is free; afterwards you receive a tailored quote with the items spelled out clearly.
